Hindi film heroes often have to do daredevil stunts, it’s practically a requirement. But here’s an instance of a debutant actress with an adventurous streak.

While shooting for Soham Shah’s Luck, a fast-paced action flick, Shruti Haasan was required to stand at the front of a moving train with her hands tied to the sides. In the scorching heat, with her back to the train and the metal burning into her skin, she ended up with blisters and boils. It was so hot that the heels of her boots started melting. But the actress shrugs it off. “It wasn’t the most comfortable situation but it’s the most fun I’ve had in the longest time,” she says.

But she is rueful about one thing: “I also got a tan that’s turned me four shades darker, and I still haven’t got rid of it.” Well, small price to pay, we say.
