Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that Federico Macheda will not be able to leave the club on loan.
But Ferguson revealed: "He is one we have to keep a foot on," Ferguson said. "He has got a cocky arrogance about him. He will argue with players in a training session and he will compete for his ego. But he's only 18, he's not 19 until October and we keep forgetting that. He is an exceptional talent and he is tough. He does not get bullied in games.
The 18yea r old is struggling to break into United’s first team and a loan deal looked a possibility but Ferguson says he is a player that needs to be kept in line as his ego can sometimes take control.
"Macheda is one we have to keep a close eye on," said Ferguson.

"He gives as good as he gets. Cesare Prandelli (the new Italian coach) has spoken to our staff about him so he is aware of his ability. There was no chance of us ever letting him go on loan – he stays here. We need to keep an eye on him."
